Sea Cucumber Digestive System
The digestive system of a sea cucumber begins with the mouth and the food gets there because the long tentacles around the moth bring it to the mouth. Then the food moves through the mouth, then through the pharynx, oesophagus and the stomach. Then, it goes through the small and large intestine and finally towards the anus where ingestion occurs.
